There was no overall winner of this week’s lotto draw. The jackpot now stands at €6,200. The numbers drawn were 2, 5, 11, 15, 20. The €25 winners were Aisling Walsh, Marion Mc Garrigle, Geraldine Walsh, Jimmy Byrne c/o P Gormley. The next draw will take place in the Bay Bush on the 26th February 2018.

There was no overall winner of this week’s lotto draw. The jackpot now stands at €6,150. The numbers drawn were 6, 7, 10, 19, 20. The €25 winners were Packie Martin, Seamus Gallagher, Mura Corcoran, Seamus Langan. The next draw will take place in the Dew Drop Inn on the 19th February 2018.

The Naomh Brid Pettigo Ladies committee and club members are very pleased to say that our race night hosted by the Bay Bush Bar, Ballintra was a great success last Saturday night, 3rd February. In excess of 100 people turned out to enjoy a session of horse racing and craic with family and friends… and a few won some money and prizes too!
With support from across the globe, from Boston to Sydney, we see like the rest of Ulster and the country, Ladies Gaelic Football in the communities of Casherlard, Ballintra, Laghey and Pettigo is increasing in popularity. With now over 60 ladies playing in both the Naomh Brid Pettigo Ladies underage and senior teams the proceeds from our fundraiser will enable the continued and further development of our players.
The night also saw the new underage kit kindly sponsored by Donegal Boston. The committee and the players say a huge thank to Declan Gallagher and Donegal Boston for their generosity towards us. The Naomh Brid Pettigo ladies committee sincerely thank the following people for their generous sponsorship of the races and to the race organiser. Mark Dorrian, Brian Gallagher, William Given -Tiling, John Patton – Joinery, Mahon and Mc Guiness- Carpentry, The Sandhouse Hotel, Kees of Laghey, Eurogrind – Pettigo, EWS Butchers, O Dowd Donnelly Carbin insurance, Tom Greene – Haulage.

Bord na Nog presentations took place Saturday last in the Community Centre, Ballintra, with a good crowd. The club were delighted to welcome Hugh mc Fadden and Paddy mc Grath as our guest’s on the evening. The presentations took place for the underage teams. Congratulations and well done to all teams and managers, committee concerned.

Naomh Brid Club Notes
On Saturday the 27th of January 2018 Naomh Brid GAA club held their dinner dance in the Sandhouse Hotel. It was packed with energy Michael Gallagher leading the way with the opening address. Colm Mc Fadden and Michael Naughton and both their wives who were guest’s of honour.

The ladies got a great plug by Michael Naughton and we can expect great things from the County Ladies team. Our ladies team have a team for 2018 & we are looking forward to watch them play.

The following awards were presented: Club Person of the year- Eileen Sweeney; Senior Player Joint- Dara Brogan, Clint Walsh; Reserve Player- Christy Price; Young Player- Eoin Mc Garrigle; Supporter- Thomas Mc Garrigle; Achievement Awards- Matt Gallagher 1992; David Walsh 2012; Stephen Walls Masters.

Terence Kilpatrick got a special mention for been club referee. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors the Sandhouse Hotel for their great food & hospitality. Thanks to Vince and Ann for getting us out on the dance floor.

Bord na nOg are holding awards evening on Saturday 3rd February in the Community Centre, Ballintra at 7.15pm. Donegal senior footballer Hugh Mc fadden will be in attendance to present awards. Registrations for 2018 season will also be taken during the evening.

Naomh Brid Pettigo ladies team present a night at the races on Saturday 3rd February in the Bay Bush, Ballintra at 9pm.

Naomh Brid Bord na Nog invites you to a celebration evening on Saturday 3rd February in St Brigit’s Community Centre, Ballintra at 7.15pm.

This celebratory event will recognise the players teams and club achievements both on and off the field at underage level in 2017.

The evening will be player focused where each of our young players from academy level to under 18 will be recognised for their contribution to the club and their devolvement as players throughout 2017.
Donegal senior footballer Hugh Mc Fadden will be in attendance to present awards.
Registrations for 2018 season will also be taken during the evening.
